Christ Church are a group of people who worship in the Anglican tradition and who understand that we live out our faith in community. We are pleased to provide spiritual encouragement and support in a variety of ways to help people live more meaningfully as followers of Jesus and members of Christ’s body. Our regular Sunday worship encourages us to live with love and compassion for those with whom with live with or with those we meet with during the week.We are creating a Labyrinth on our front lawn to support members of the community as well as visitors towards the goal of mental and spiritual health. Our Wednesday Eucharist offers an informal time of worship to explore the biblical readings for the coming Sunday

We have a number of community meals which aside from offering good nutrition also give people in the wider community a chance to gather together to support one another in their life journey.

We are actively involved with learning about our history with indigenous people with the hope of moving toward truth and reconciliation.

We recognize that the contribution that temporary foreign workers make to our local economy by helping the community to say ‘thank you’ with an annual event.

We are working towards the inclusion of Meaford as a dementia friendly community with a minds in motion program run by the Alzheimer’s society.

We offer a regular series of Sunday afternoon concerts featuring a variety of styles of music.

We have several support groups including Alcoholics Anonymous as well as caregiver support groups and grief support groups.

We contribute to Meaford events such as the annual Kinsmen Duck race, the Santa Claus parade, summer swimming passes for the blue dolphin pool, the scarecrow invasion, the breakfast and lunch programs run through the schools as well as many other important charitable initiatives of our community.

This summer we are so excited about the creation of a Labyrinth on our front lawn.  We hope that it will be well used by the community in Meaford as well as guests to our town.  A Labyrinth offers a time for spiritual growth by walking a path.  As you walk pray or meditate as you consider the important decisions you make in your life.  Experience the holiness of the ground below your feet and the presence of God that you can then take with you to your ‘regular life’.

If  you are looking for a church where members have fun together engaged in meaningful activities please come and join us.
