Christ Church is fully engaged with the community in Meaford. We are pleased to provide spiritual encouragement and support in a variety of ways to help people live more fully as members of Christ’s body and followers of Jesus. Our regular Sunday worship encourages living with love and compassion for those who we meet and or live with through the week. In addition we celebrate the significant moments in people’s lives with baptism confirmation, marriage house and business blessings and funerals. Our beautiful church is also a memorial to those who served in the war.
We actively support the lunch and breakfast programmes at Georgian Bay Secondary School as well as the elementary schools in Meaford by providing volunteers and monetary contributions
Members of the parish volunteer extensively in the community in activities, which include ministry in the hospital, the nursing home, food grains bank and food bank our as well as with support organizations. Our facility is also used by a number of community groups including Alcoholics Anonymous and a variety of card groups, a film group and currently a refugee group
Our congregation also provides financial support to many outreach ministries.
Our church family gives generously of their time, talent and treasure to make a difference in the world in the name of Christ. If you are looking for a way to have an impact in the world, we invite you to get involved with any of our outreach ministries by contacting the parish office or speaking with the Rector.
